Insight Counseling and Wellness Center Psychotherapist
Meet Jamie
Many of the couples and individuals I work with feel stuck in patterns that leave them feeling disconnected—from their partners, from others, or from themselves. Couples often come to therapy caught in the same painful arguments or struggling to rebuild trust, while individuals may be navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or relationship challenges. Together, we work to understand the deeper patterns beneath the distress so greater connection, clarity, and self-compassion can emerge.
Clients come to me with:
- Struggles and relationship conflicts
- Communication challenges, or emotional disconnection
- Navigating anxiety, overwhelm, or stress that is impacting their relationships and daily life
- Healing from trauma, attachment wounds, or past experiences that continue to affect the present
- Adjusting to major life transitions such as parenthood, divorce, relocation, or changes in identity
- Feeling stuck in patterns of self-criticism, low self-worth, or recurring relationship dynamics they want to understand and change
My Approach:
I believe healing happens in relationships—with our partners, our families, and ourselves. Whether I’m working with a couple or an individual, I help clients move beyond self-blame and criticism and develop a deeper understanding of the emotions, attachment needs, and protective patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Clients often describe me as approachable, intuitive, collaborative, and refreshingly real
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – Helps couples understand the deeper emotions and attachment needs driving conflict so they can reconnect and create a more secure bond.
- IFIO (Intimacy From the Inside Out) – Combines relationship work and Internal Family Systems to help partners understand how their own protective patterns impact connection and intimacy.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) – A compassionate, parts-based approach that helps people understand and heal the different parts of themselves that may be carrying pain, fear, or protective strategies.
- EMDR – Helps the brain process difficult experiences and trauma so they no longer have the same emotional charge in the present.
- Somatic & Polyvagal-Informed Therapy – Body-based approaches that help clients understand their nervous system, increase emotional regulation, and create change that goes beyond insight alone.

Outside the therapy room, I’m a mother who deeply values connection, creativity, and living life fully. I love spending time with my children and animals, creating art, practicing yoga, dancing, and finding moments of beauty in everyday life. These experiences continually remind me of the resilience, playfulness, and self-compassion that support healing and growth.
