Insight Counseling and Wellness Center Psychotherapist
Meet Erica
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves as they cope with difficult experiences and seek a path toward finding more balance in their lives. Together, we create a supportive space to process challenges, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity, self-compassion, and hope.
I work with adults who are experiencing:
- The impact of grief and loss
- Trauma- including medical trauma
- Chronic or serious illness
- Caregiver stress
- Anxiety
- Major life transitions
My Approach:
I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs and goals. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches which includes:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which helps your brain process and heal from difficult or traumatic experiences that may still feel overwhelming or stuck. Using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR can help reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories so they have less impact on your daily life.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach that helps you understand and connect with the different parts of yourself—such as the parts that protect, worry, or feel hurt—so you can heal and find greater balance and self-compassion.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while focusing on what matters most to you, so you can take meaningful steps toward the life you want to live.
Clients often tell me they feel comfortable talking with me because I bring warmth, authenticity, and a calm presence to our work together. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted- especially during life’s most difficult moments.
I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore our stories with curiosity and self-compassion rather than criticism or shame. I don’t believe healing means erasing pain, the past, or becoming a different person. Rather, it’s about making sense of your experiences, reconnecting with yourself, and learning to carry life’s challenges in a way that feels less overwhelming and more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you.

When I am out of the office, you’ll find me spending quality time with her partner, my sweet dog, and enjoying the Colorado outdoors. Favorite activities include camping, hiking, gardening, and being in the lovely Denver area parks. I also enjoy reading, fiber arts, and attending my monthly soup club, making a variety of goodies from my collection of cookbooks.
