Brittany Buettner

Meet Brittany

I believe that healing happens in relationships, and that one of the most powerful things we can do is feel truly seen and understood. My approach is rooted in humanistic-existential values, which means I’ll meet you where you are, without judgment, and trust that you are the expert on your own life.

I have a passion for working with couples and individuals navigating:

  • Relationship struggles
  • Attachment wounds
  • Self-esteem
  • Anxiety
  • Life transitions

I use approaches that help people reconnect with themselves, make sense of painful patterns, and build more secure, fulfilling relationships.

I draw primarily from:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps identify and understand the emotions and attachment patterns that shape their relationships. By strengthening emotional connection and communication, EFT supports healing, trust, and more secure relationships.
  • The Gottman Method- provides practical tools to help couples navigate conflict, enhance emotional connection, and build a stronger foundation of trust, understanding, and mutual respect.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)- recognizes that we all have different parts of ourselves that serve important roles in our lives. IFS helps clients build a relationship with these parts, heal past hurts, and access their inner strengths, wisdom, and resilience.

Degree & Institution: Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (in progress), Adams State University
