Shay is a mental health counseling student at Adams State University, with plans to graduate in the spring of 2024. She is a therapist dedicated to empowering you to lead your best and most fulfilling life. Shay provides a non-judgmental and empathetic space that nurtures personal growth and self-awareness.
Shay values the profound connection between mental and physical well-being and has cultivated a comprehensive knowledge base in both areas. She has a bachelor's degree in molecular biology and nutrition, and she is particularly passionate about addressing issues related to ADHD, eating disorders, and trauma. Prior to embarking on a career in mental health counseling, Shay gained valuable experience in implementing behavioral therapy with children with Autism and as a yoga instructor. These enhanced her skills with patience, witnessing with non-judgement, and deep listening.
In the therapeutic process, Shay adopts a holistic, mindful, and mind-body approach to assist individuals in developing self-awareness, self-love, and healing. Shay firmly believes in the innate capacity of every person to lead a deeply fulfilling life, and it would be an honor to support you on your personal journey toward that goal.
In her free time, she loves painting, rock climbing, reading fantasy books, and spending time with her dog, Kaia.
