Sydney has a master’s degree in Social Work through the University of Central Florida. After graduating in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Sydney worked in marketing for healthcare companies. It was during this time that she realized her favorite part of the job was building relationships with others, so she went back to school to pursue a career that allowed her to do just that. She knows how hard it is to make major life changes and adjust to the bumps that show up along the way.
Sydney’s empathetic and compassionate nature allows her to develop a warm, comfortable atmosphere with her clients. She is passionate about helping others develop and explore their own identities while guiding them on a journey of healing. After recognizing the positive changes therapy made in her own life, Sydney was inspired to help positively change the lives of others.
Sydney draws from various models of therapy including cognitive theory, dialectical behavior theory, and narrative theory. She uses motivational interviewing and a person-centered approach to guide clients in recognizing their strengths and abilities. Sydney specializes in working with clients who may experience issues related to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Her passion lies in helping you overcome obstacles and recognizing your self-worth.
