Your identities, cultures, and stories matter. I know from my own experience that making the choice to go to therapy can be a big step, only to be met with the daunting task of choosing a therapist who feels right for you. Everyone deserves the opportunity to feel seen and heard without judgement, and I believe that everyone is capable of change when they feel ready.
Therapy might not always feel comfortable, but it does need to feel safe. I hope to nurture a sense of safety by providing you choice and transparency while centering your lived experience. Many of us learn to live with distress, though we may come to find that what once served us well no longer does. My goal is to provide you with a space that feels safer and empowering so that you can begin to live with more joy and peace of mind.
My approach includes going beyond our thoughts and minds and embracing a more holistic lens that includes mind-body awareness. Our bodies are powerful messengers that can allow us to gain a deeper awareness for what we need to heal. Together, we can explore what isn’t serving you anymore and find tools that you can use long after our sessions have ended.
I received my Master’s in International Disaster Psychology from the University of Denver and am an LPCC in the state of Colorado. I am experienced in working with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and trauma related issues.
