Brandy started her second career in mental health when she began working with youth in the foster care system. She learned skills around crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and mentorship. Brandy graduated with a Master's in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy from Naropa University in May of 2024. She believes that humans are intricately a part of the natural world and likes to use nature-based modalities to help facilitate that connection. She believes in creating a therapeutic relationship around non-judgment, trust, and open communication.
Brandy has a history in social justice and environmental activism. She received her Bachelor of Science from CSU Sacramento in Environmental Studies. Her therapeutic framework includes IFS, EMDR, attachment theory, and group therapy. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and honoring life transitions. She also enjoys working with queer folks, couples, and those exploring alternative relationship models.
In her free time, Brandy is excited about rock climbing, yoga, and walking her miniature dachshund. She is passionate about the importance of community and enjoys bringing people together.
