Alexa firmly believes that all humans are born with their truest Selves at their core, are extremely resilient, and possess the resources within themselves to recover, heal, grow, and thrive. This belief in the inherent strength of her clients is the foundation of her therapeutic approach. She puts trust in human connection and wants to learn about her clients and their relationships on a deeper level, empowering them to take control of their healing journey.
As a budding relational somatic therapist with over nine years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, she is passionate about the mind-body connection and helping others become more in tune with their mental, emotional, and physical states. Knowing that trauma can be harbored in many ways, especially throughout the body, Alexa wants to help clients identify and discover where that pain may be, what it may be coming from, and how to release and move it out of the body in a safe and healthy way.
She uses an integrative, systemic, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach to therapy to aid clients in their journeys toward healing, self-regulation, and living their fullest lives. She has a BA in Human Development with a concentration in mental health and is currently earning her Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy through Antioch University.
Within her sessions, she may incorporate somatic work, Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, collaborative therapy, polyvagal techniques, mindfulness, guided meditation, and sound healing, all with a strength-based approach. She aims to weave in EMDR, Gottman, and couples therapy as she adds them to her tools and skillset. Her holistic values, empathy, warmth, and passion for helping people allow her to create and hold an open, accepting, non-judgmental, and safe space for others.
Alexa is committed to walking alongside her clients as they learn, rediscover, unblend, and transform into the people they want and are meant to be.
