Insight Counseling and Wellness Center
Meet Sara
Healing isn’t just cognitive, and insight alone rarely gets people unstuck. Therapy is collaborative, grounded in trust, empathy, and connection. This is where healing happens. Together, we will go deeper to understand what is really driving your struggles and find new ways forward. We will work on what feels urgent now, while also tending to the deeper patterns underneath.
Clients often come to me dealing with:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- PTSD
- Grief and loss
- Life transitions
- Chronic pain and chronic illness
- Caregiver distress and burnout/Burned out helpers
- Healthcare worker burnout and secondary trauma
- Late-diagnosed neurodivergent adults
- High-functioning people who are struggling quietly
- Identity exploration and reconstruction
- Attachment and relationship patterns
- Somatic and body-based approaches
- Spiritual integration or mind, body, spirit
- Adults processing trauma later in life
I believe that every individual has the inherent capacity for healing. My role is to support you in recognizing yours. It is an honor to witness that process, and I do not take lightly the trust it takes to let someone walk alongside you in it. My approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities that support healing at both the mind and body levels.
My work is rooted in:
- Parts Work – helping you understand and compassionately connect with the different parts of yourself to create lasting change.
- Neuroscience-Informed Therapy – using an understanding of how the brain and nervous system respond to stress, trauma, and relationships to support healing.
- Somatic Therapies – incorporating body-based practices that help regulate the nervous system, increase self-awareness, and promote emotional resilience.
License/Credential: Social Work Candidate
Degree & Institution: Walden University, Master of Social Work
Beyond my work as a therapist, I find joy in life’s everyday adventures, whether I’m exploring nature trails with my senior pups, getting lost in a fascinating documentary, or discovering something new. I also enjoy staying active through my weekly bowling league and unwinding with a good book in my hammock or a challenging jigsaw puzzle. Above all, I cherish spending meaningful time with family and friends, finding connection, laughter, and joy in the moments that matter most.
