Nervous System Reset: Community Auricular Acupuncture July 23, 2026

July 23 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

Nervous System Reset – Community Auricular Acupuncture

What it is:
Nervous System Reset is a gentle, group-based acupuncture experience designed to help your body shift out of stress and into a calmer, more regulated state. In this session, very small sterile needles are placed at specific points on the outer ear—an approach known as auricular acupuncture or AcuDetox. Participants sit quietly together for about 30-45 minutes while the body settles, the nervous system downshifts, and natural healing processes are supported.

Auricular acupuncture works through the nervous system. The ear contains points connected to major organ systems and stress-regulation pathways in the body. When these points are stimulated, they can help reduce sympathetic “fight or flight” activation and support parasympathetic calming and restoration.

This method is widely used in community settings, trauma recovery programs, and addiction treatment because it is simple, effective, and supportive without requiring you to talk or process anything verbally.

Who can it help?
This workshop may be especially supportive for people who are experiencing:

  • Chronic stress or nervous system overload
  • Anxiety or restlessness
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Emotional overwhelm
  • Burnout or compassion fatigue
  • Trauma recovery support
  • Cravings or substance use recovery
  • Difficulty slowing down or relaxing

You don’t need to have a specific problem to benefit. Many people attend simply to experience deep rest and support their overall well-being.

Why it’s beneficial
Participants often report:

  • Feeling calmer and more grounded
  • Reduced anxiety and irritability
  • Improved sleep
  • Greater emotional balance
  • Less physical tension
  • Support for cravings and impulse regulation
  • A deeper sense of clarity and presence

Because this is offered in a community setting, the experience is also quietly supportive and connective. Sitting together in calm silence often helps the body settle more easily than trying to relax alone.

The five ear points used:

This protocol gently stimulates five key points on the ear that support regulation, detoxification, and emotional balance:

Shen Men – “Spirit Gate”
A primary calming point used to reduce anxiety, agitation, and stress. Shen Men helps quiet the mind, settle the nervous system, and open the body to deeper healing.

Sympathetic Point
This point helps regulate the autonomic nervous system, supporting the shift from “fight or flight” into “rest and restore.” It is often used to reduce pain, tension, and stress responses.

Kidney Point
Associated with resilience and restoring depleted energy. In traditional Chinese medicine, the kidney system supports vitality and helps the body recover from chronic stress and fear.

Liver Point
Supports emotional flow and detoxification. This point is often used to help reduce irritability, frustration, and emotional stagnation while supporting the body’s natural detox pathways.

Lung Point
Connected to breath, grief processing, and letting go. This point helps regulate respiration, supports emotional release, and can deepen relaxation.

Together, these points work synergistically to support nervous system balance, emotional stability, and overall well-being.

What to expect during the session

  • A brief introduction to the process
  • Small sterile needles placed gently in the ear
  • 30–45 minutes of quiet rest while seated or lying down
  • Soft lighting and a calming environment
  • No talking required—simply sit and allow your body to settle

Many people describe the experience as deeply relaxing—some meditate, some nap, and others simply enjoy a rare moment of stillness.

A simple pause for your nervous system

In a world that asks us to keep pushing forward, this session offers something different: a structured pause where your body can reset, regulate, and remember what calm feels like.
